What does a little boy do on a trip to the U.P.?

What does a little boy do on a trip to the U.P.?

He watches birds with his ammi...

He learns just WHY Bozzy likes Christmas cookies...

He goes for rides on grandpa's ATV with his dad...

... and his mom...

Unfortunately, he has to head home... but he's not happy about it!

Another Milestone

Stitches! A little boy, an office chair and a computer desk = ER visit.
He's cut right through his lip and had to get three stitches to close the wound.

He had the trauma of being pinned down and stitched up and being in the ER for 2 1/2 hours. The first thing he does when he gets home?
Drags a kitchen chair over to the counter and climbs up it to get crackers.

He's such a boy.

Lessons from a Little Boy

Each day is a learning experience.

Today we learned little boys are curious.

And smart.

And fast.

And raisins go through a paper shredder. Quarters do not.

The End.

Mom, I apologize. Now make him stop.

The King and I.
Dressing himself. Yes, that's my shoe.

Ketchup face. He's definitely Andy's kid.

Chicago

A trip to Chicago isn't complete without a deep dish pizza! And sauce on the face...
Aquarium shots are hard to take - low lights and a LOT of humidity.
I can't imagine how many hours they devote to cleaning the glass!

Checking out a big fish with daddy

James smiling for the (foggy) camera. I think Andy was looking out for his Arch Nemesis - Asian tourists.

Happy Halloween!

A boy, a stick, crunchy leaves and a pumpkin hat.
That's Halloween in Saranac!

I told him he's going to have to pose for photos in his pumpkin hat every year until he's 18. Then he can decide he wants to do it on his own free will :)

Cider Mill Adventures

We had a fun day at Uncle John's Cider Mill last weekend.

Here's James eating his cider donut.
And here we are enjoying a train ride around the property (it FREAKED him out at first).
Now the posing - the happy family, one year later.
And this year with Grandpa & Grandma Garn.
